GONE PECAN
Wanna see a magic trick? Put these SWEET + SPICY pecans out at your next party & watch them disappear. They're that good.
It seems like no matter how many of these I make, it's never enough. Did I mention they're incredibly easy to make? Only 15 minutes to sweet & savory bliss.
Use these to top your favorite salad, sprinkle over mashed sweet potatoes, or just eat them by the handful. Bag these up & give them as holiday gifts. Whatever you do, just make them. I promise they'll be enjoyed by all.
SWEET + SPICY PECANS
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 teaspoons brown sugar
2 cups whole pecans
4 teaspoons water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, salt, & cayenne. Add pecans & 4 teaspoons water. Stir together until pecans are completely coated. Mixture should not be too watery.
Transfer pecan mixture to baking sheet & distribute into one even layer, you don't want to overcrowd the pecans. Bake for 6 minutes.
Take pecans out of the oven & sprinkle the brown sugar over them. Stir & redistribute into even layer. Put pecans back into the oven & bake for another 5-6 minutes.
After removing pecans from oven, let them cool for just a few minutes before enjoying. These are great warm or cool. They also keep well if you'd like to prepare them a few days ahead of time, just store in a sealed plastic bag or airtight container.
